Gary Fincke on staff at West Virginia Writers’ Workshop

Morgantown, WV—Gary Fincke was recently named as a faculty member for the 2004 West Virginia Writers’ Workshop. Additional faculty include Peter Cameron, James Harms, Rebecca McClanahan, and Jane Mead. The workshop is scheduled from July 22 to July 25.

A four-day event which includes panel discussions, readings, and lectures, the annual West Virginia Writers’ Workshop features nationally recognized authors alongside many of the region's best known writers in a setting of rugged, natural beauty. West Virginia University’s striking campus provides a backdrop for creativity and complements the writing process; state forests are within a five-minute drive from campus and the Monongahela River within sight of it. All participants meet individually with workshop faculty for intensive one-on-one conferences intended to focus and refine the work being done around seminar tables and in classrooms. The Workshop has limited enrollment to guarantee personal attention.
